These are the projects, for example those of Vuitton and Dior, that express all the brands\u2019 desire for art(but not only), applying it in particular to leather accessories<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Art<\/strong> is inherent in the <strong>concept<\/strong>, as well as in the etymology, of the word &#8216;<strong>artisanship<\/strong>&#8216;. It is so inherent that, in recent years, the mixture between <strong>the professional <\/strong>artist and those who are &#8216;<strong>masters of craftsmanship<\/strong>&#8216;, i.e. artisans, has evolved and reached new levels. We&#8217;re not talking about hand-decorating a bag with brushstrokes or customising a trainer by tattooing the upper part. More and more often, fashion brands are turning to artists to reinterpret an iconic and successful bag. This results in creative projects that are repeated over the years and manage to combine the artistic profile with business. Because, obviously, this desire for art applied to high-end craftsmanship generates inevitable and (almost) instant sell-outs.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Desire for art applied to craftsmanship<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The aim of the brands that have launched these projects is not only to create unique pieces to be sold at auction or kept as collectors&#8217; memorabilia. It is (also) to create <strong>limited edition collections <\/strong>that continue to sell out undaunted. There are two \u201csymbolic initiatives\u201d in all this. Those conceived by <strong>Dior<\/strong> and <strong>Louis Vuitton<\/strong>. With an all-Italian appendix concerning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.demanumea.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Demanumea<\/strong><\/a> project.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Louis Vuitton and Artycapucines<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>At the beginning of September, Vuitton released images of the <strong>third edition<\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.laconceria.it\/en\/leather-goods\/artycapucines-the-freedom-to-paint-on-leathers-and-other-stories\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Artycapucines<\/strong> project<\/a>. Namely, the one by which it offers selected artists to freely interpret the <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.louisvuitton.com\/eng-gb\/homepage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Capucines bag<\/a>. A model so iconic that it is dedicated to <strong>rue des Capucines<\/strong>, the Parisian street where Louis Vuitton opened its first shop in 1854.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Lady Art by Dior<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Dior<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Lady Art<\/strong> project is now in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dior.com\/couture\/en_gb\/the-house-of-dior\/exhibitions\/dior-lady-art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">its fifth year<\/a> at the end of 2020.
