September is the month of back to the fair. But not only that, indeed more than that. It is also the month in which the name of a city explodes in the international calendar of fashion and exhibition events: Milan, where, between 16 and 26 September, 11 days of appointments between salons, fairs, and fashion shows will follow one another. Hand in your diaries because here, we list them one after the other<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

From shoes to bags, from fashionable materials such as leather to the proposals of the top luxury brands, there are plenty of reasons to be in Milan <\/strong>during September because the Lombard capital is about to become the international back-to-the-fair capital of fashion and luxury<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is how.<\/p>\n

International back to the fair<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The first appointment on the calendar is the HOMI 2022 Fashion&Jewels Exhibition<\/strong>, the event dedicated to the excellence of bijou, jewellery, and fashion accessories, scheduled at Fieramilano Rho from 16 to 19 September<\/strong>. A trendy event to present collections and fashion accessory proposals for the upcoming season, with a particular focus on ready-to-wear fashion. Homi Independent <\/strong>will open on the same days, an exhibition event dedicated to “objects and accessories that characterise contemporary living spaces and new living scenarios”.<\/p>\n

Micam, Mipel, TheOne<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Also, at Fiermilano Rho, from 18 to 20 September, the <\/strong>focus will be on the world of accessories with Micam Miano<\/strong>, the international footwear fair, and Mipel<\/strong>, the show dedicated to leather goods. The <\/strong>two exhibitions will be held in conjunction with TheOneMilano<\/strong>, an event showcasing fabric, leather, and fur clothing brands. This will be the 94th <\/strong>edition of Micam Milano (the third episode of the Micam Glass Slipper campaign), which will be attended by some 700 companies <\/strong>with proposals for the Spring – Summer 2023 <\/strong>season.<\/p>\n

For Mipel (halls 1 and 3), it will be edition number 122<\/strong>, with around 120 <\/strong>leather goods brands <\/strong>exhibiting their novelties for next summer. TheOneMilano, on the other hand, confirms the synergy <\/strong>with Micam (the full name of the event is, in fact, TheOneMilano Special, featured by Micam) to offer visitors “a complete vision of total look proposals, together with shoes and bags”. As imposed by the pandemic, all three events have opened a digital platform that “facilitates meetings between exhibitors and buyers all year round”.<\/p>\n

Lineapelle and Simac Tanning Tech<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The last day of Micam, Mipel, and TheOneMilano will coincide with the first day of the 100th edition of Lineapelle<\/strong>, an exhibition scheduled at Fieramilano Rho from 20 to 22 September 2022<\/strong>.
\nAccording to the latest figures, visitors will be able to physically browse an exhibition area occupied by more than 1,100 exhibitors <\/strong>from 38 countries: 572 tanneries (321 Italian ones), 364 manufacturers of accessories and components, 138 of fabrics and synthetics, 9 chemists, 39 service companies. Their proposals cover the Fall-Winter 2023-2024 season.<\/p>\n

Also returning to <\/strong>Lineapelle 100<\/a> is Mipel Lab<\/strong>, a hub conceived by Assopellettieri <\/strong>dedicated to Italian excellence in leather outsourcing. And alongside Lineapelle, Simac Tanning Tech<\/strong>, a platform of technologies for the fashion and luxury industry, will also take place. “The show is becoming increasingly important thanks to the fundamental role played by technology in proposing and realising innovative solutions for the fashion industry with competence and quality.<\/p>\n

Milan Women’s Fashion<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Finally, the women’s fashion industry will show itself in all its glory in the fashion week dedicated to the Spring-Summer 2023 <\/strong>collections scheduled in Milan from 19 to 26 September<\/strong><\/a>. There will be 67 fashion shows<\/strong>, 61 physical and 6 digital, on the calendar. New entries for <\/strong>this edition include the return of <\/strong>Salvatore Ferragamo, Boss, Antonio Marras, Vivetta, Moncler, and Anteprima. Officially parading for the first time will be <\/strong>Bally, Stella Jean\/WAMI, and Matty Bovan, while MmusoMaxwell will make its debut in the digital calendar. (mv)<\/p>\n
