What we saw at Lineapelle Interiors

Sofas, walls, bedrooms, tables, bathrooms: ambitious projects combining leather and other materials. We present a roundup of the nineteen installations presented at Lineapelle 105 from 25 to 27 February 2025 (Fiera Milano Rho) during the second edition of Lineapelle Interiors

by Domenico Casoria

  1. Quattrocento MANIFATTURA DI DOMODOSSOLA OXILLA

The installation represents Italian excellence in woven furniture fabrics. Inspired by the tonal painting of the Venetian Renaissance, the work combines technological innovation with traditional processing techniques, creating unique and prestigious surfaces.

  1. Alphen DANI SUSTAINABLE LEATHER TM LUXURY PARTNER

Alphen’s is an installation that tells the beauty of a love story and the value of sharing. Dani Sustainable Leather’s finished beige and hazelnut leather represents diversity. TM Luxury Partner’s extraordinary triangular goffrage patterns interweave these differences, transforming them into a rug, a blanket. A magical encounter that generates a common ground on which to dream.

  1. Breeze Leather CERTALDESE CREATIVE LEATHER antoniolupi

Breeze is a freestanding washbasin in Cristalmood by antoniolupi, with integrated lighting that creates shades of colour and a feeling of suspension. The washbasin is wrapped in a carved leather surface with slits that allow light to permeate, producing an emotional texture. Certaldese Creative Leather took care of processing the leather and adapting it to the design with elegance.

  1. Joe CONCERIA TRIS POLTRONOVA

Joe is a large, comfortable armchair in the shape of a giant baseball glove, upholstered in shaved and dyed cowhide leather produced by Conceria Tris on the occasion of Lineapelle. Designed in 1970 and inspired by Pop Art, it is a tribute to legendary baseball player Joe DiMaggio.

  1. T tree GRUPPO PERETTI MOBI FURNITURE & INTERIORS

The T tree by Gruppo Peretti and Mobi Furniture & Interiors is a modular system: a bookcase consisting of two stackable elements with full-length shelves supported by a ‘T’ element. This minimalist design reduces transport volumes and installation time to a minimum, transforming the whole into an assembly kit for creating domestic architecture of various shapes and sizes. The parts of the T tree are finished with visible stitching, which emphasises the leather.

  1. Sale MISTRAL DE CASTELLI

Mistral’s Sale installation, presented by De Castelli, draws inspiration from the harmony between the iridescent surface of the sea and the hue of the Mediterranean forest. Combining leather and metal, Mistral’s innovative applications evoke the sophistication of Venetian damask. DeLabré’s hand-finished brass tiles create surfaces of textile elegance.

  1. Teodora ICA LEATHER ARCAHORN

The Teodora modular wall by ICA LEATHER, in collaboration with ARCAHORN, represents an innovative dialogue between different materials in a neo-Byzantine style with British influences. Arcahorn creates horn gems inserted in relief ornaments embroidered in gold thread by Pro-Fit on the finished leathers of ICA Leather.

  1. Madre CONCERIA PRESOT GUERRINO DIRINDIN

Guerrino Dirindin’s Madre explores the profound connection between the Earth and humanity. Guerrino perceives the essence of the Earth as a unique and universal life-giving principle. By modelling the earth in archaic forms and primordial symbols, the artist communicates a message of respect and sharing. The natural, vegetable-tanned leather surfaces by Conceria Pietro Presot perfectly complement the installation.

  1. Capsule LIMONTA 1893 DOOOR

Capsule by Limonta 1893 for Dooor is a textile door that can expand, delimit or screen interior spaces. The minimalist design is reminiscent of a telephone booth but is enriched with Limonta fabrics: the silvery exterior blends in with the environment, while the ochre-coloured interior makes the space more welcoming.

  1. Indonesiana CONCERIA LEONICA BARAUSSE

Barausse’s design uses embossed leather from Conceria Leonica to clad a continuous door/wall with oriental geometric patterns. The doors are fully customisable to meet customer and project requirements.

  1. Kumihimo PRO-FIT MATERICA

Pro-Fit’s Kumihimo screen is an example of technological innovation and craftsmanship. Through a process of fusing pure metal threads into micronised particles, the surface is covered by a metallic film, giving it a new, rigid and shiny identity. The hand-woven Pro-Fit, on a wooden frame, is transformed into an object that is both harmonious in its geometry and modular.

  1. Balena CONCERIA LO STIVALE OSCARMASCHERA

The Balena installation by Conceria Lo Stivale uses the metaphor of a cetacean to reflect on environmental impact. According to Tuscan tradition and Oscarmaschera craftsmanship, vegetable tanning gives life to floors, walls and tables that evoke all-around sustainability.

  1. West and Toys VICENZA PELLI NOTTE FATATA DI SAVIO FIRMINO

The children’s furniture collection is inspired by the Western imagery of cinema and comics, reinterpreted with contemporary Italian design. Upholstered in Vicenza Pelli cowhide, this furniture appeals to adults as well, often becoming cult objects.

  1. Certaldo e Semifonte FAEDA DEMA

Dema’s Certaldo screen has a rounded wooden frame with polychrome straps worked by Certaldese Creative Leather. The Semifonte modular sofa uses Faeda leather for colour excellence. Both systems offer elegant design and functionality for interiors.

  1. Encounter CONCERIA PRIANTE TISCA ITALIA

The Encounter installation by Conceria Priante and Tisca Italia combines elegance and sustainability, combining finished leather and woven wool carpets.

  1. Rotativa RAETHER ATELIER FOGLIZZO

Atelier Foglizzo’s Rotativa installation uses Raether, a product made from leather scraps and polyester fibres. It can be coloured in various shades without the use of glues or resins.

  1. Metamorphosis CONCERIA LA BRETAGNA LUDOVICA MASCHERONI

Ludovica Mascheroni’s modular screen Metamorphosis uses vegetable-tanned leather from Conceria La Bretagna, layered and pressed in wooden moulds. This self-supporting, liquid-effect design represents a contemporary and elegant vision of living.

  1. Up & Down the Hills ALCANTARA C DESIGN DI SAVIO INTERIORS

Alcantara’s Up & Down the Hills installation captures the essence of the Italian hills. The extraordinary colour palettes interpret the rarefied atmospheres of Italian landscapes, offering warmth and harmony. Designed for contract interiors, this boiserie serves the creativity of architects and designers.

  1. Walkabout PRO-FIT FUDA

Fuda’s Walkabout table, a marriage of contemporary design and archaic sculpture, encourages conviviality. The Breccia Sant’Antonio marble top, with a leather finish, and the spindle legs upholstered in leather with l’écorse processing, highlight the excellence of Fuda and Pro-Fit.
